Personal Digital Assistants – Making life Go Smoother

Everyone has had the angst of looking a day timer or diary. Many more dislike the idea of carrying around a heavy Day-Timer or notepad. Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s) take all that away. No more flipping through sheets of a notepads to find dairy entries or important appointments. No more loosing important dates if the Day-Timer gets left behind. And no more lugging around a heavy, large, and awkward paper system.

PDA’s can now be networked right onto other peoples PDA”s and personal computers and laptop. By means to Microsoft Office Online, Outlook, and a docking station, all team members and office members can be in sync. With the merger of cell phones and PDA’s into on digital device, now docking centers and USB cords will so be a thing of the past too. All data is automatically backed up via wireless internet cards, all those that share a system, or who have networked their devices can stay on top of last minute changes, and a lost PDA doesn’t mean lost data.

Here is a quick overview of some o f the latest devices available:

Palm Zire; This is by far one of the most affordable hand held’s on the market. No need to purchase separate and expensive paper refills, this handy PDA is just right for a busy and active lifestyle. It comes with an infrared port, rechargeable battery and flip cover, enough space for years of data and thousands of addresses. It has an eye catching white design that is all at one simplistic and elegant. It is one of the most uncomplicated devices to use. It takes care of the date book, address book, and an electronic diary. Its lithium battery lasts the average user about 4 weeks. Its user friendly design also allows for users to reassign buttons, and reorganize its contents to make it more efficient for them.

Palm Tungsten; This is a sleek and stylish handheld from PalmOne. Its packed with the latest technologies including Bluetooth, and an extra sharp and clear screen resolution. Its ultra safe, non-volatile flash memory safely stores all its users’ calendar, contacts, documents, presentations, photos, and videos. If you don’t have time to recharge it, not to worry, all the data is safely stored and easily unloadable to any pc. It has 32 mb of ram, plus a touch screen, lithium battery, output speakers, and a 5way navigation button along with a stylus. Only available in the UK.

Palm Z22; It’s a pleasure being organized with the Palm Z22. The simple and easy to use interface will fool the user. It’s small, light, and starts in seconds. The user can keep phone appointments, phone numbers, photos, and even view them with a color screen. It’s affordable; it also includes software to keep the data safe. Simple press a button to upload the data to your PC. Or interchange data with other devices. Tap with the stylus for direct access to all the stored information. Easily make changes to records and information simply by writing on the screen with a stylus. Its cool, compact design and handheld technology is easily rechargeable with a multi-connector battery charger.

O2 XDA; This baby is loaded. It’s a lightweight, voice enabled PDA that is so powerful and does so much, and you will wonder how you have ever done without it. It’s a cell phone, lets you surf the internet, send email, and play games. Its also a personal organizer, and it allows you to use Microsoft Pocket Outlook, Pocket Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MSN messenger, a calculator, a camera, a video recorder, a video activated dialer, wireless data manager, Microsoft ActiveInsync, Bluetooth, Voice Notes, Photo Contact ID, a 39 key keyboard, a USB port, 5-way navigation button, touch screen stylus supported, 5 programmable buttons, and even plays videos. It holds 64MB of ram, and allows for batter changes on the go. It’s only available in the UK. Leave your laptop at home, leave your cell phone at home, this is an all in one, get it done, organizer.

Sony Clie (10 models on the market); Pronounce Klee-Ay, the Sony Clie is a series of digital assistance that run on the Palm operating system. It introduces new features such as a jog wheel interface, memory slots, audio playback, high-resolution displays, multimedia interface, and an easy to use design. The name “clie” is an acronym for “creativity, lifestyle, innovation, emotion.” Though it is thought that clie means the work “tool” in the Jerriiais language. The clie was one of the first PDA’s on the market before the PDA was a coined term.

HP Ipaqs ; IPaqs are Compaqs flagship model when it comes to PDA’s. they originally ran off of Microsoft Windows for Pocket Pc OS and featured a 12 bit color display, 32/64 MB of RAM, and 16 MB ROM. All three units are priced at a fairly market, being one of the least expensive and they have a wide distribution in the US and UK. The device is upgradable, and some models can run the windows media player. They are a fabulous way to get started using a PDA as they are easy to use and have a friendly user interface. They allow for upgradable memory capacity and even allow users to keep several batteries on hand which is useful if they are loaded with additional devices after shelf purchase.

Nokia95 ; Originally called “the smart Phone,” the Nokia95 includes many easy to use functions that make it a highly prized PDA on today’s market. It’s a camera phone, a portable media player, offers email and web browsing, WI-FI capable, and allows text messaging. It has a two way slider feature to access either play back buttons or an alpha-numeric keyboard. The newer upgraded versions are increasingly capable and come with more features and programs. It’s all at once a computer, a phone, and an Ipod. This “thing in my pocket,” is fast becoming an icon for digital assistants.

With cell phones and PDA’s merging to form one device, staying organized and staying in touched is becoming increasingly easier. No need to carry around a heavy bag with day-timers, address books, cells phones, and music devices, all these can now fit into your pocket and are as easy to use as pushing the on button.

Operating principles; All motorized electrical devices work much the same way. There is a set of coils inside or outside a set of magnets that rotate. In a generator this action produced by the use of a fuel with is injected into a combustion engine that looks and works much the same way as your car. In a generator the engine uses fuel to fire pistons which in turn cause the magnets and coiled copper wires to spin. This action of the coils and copper wires spinning produces a reaction that turns into electricity. This electricity is then conducted to a converter box that regulates its current before allowing the current to leave via a power cord or electrical outlet.

Most power tools also use this concept of coiled wires around a cylinder either inside of two magnets or around two magnets and the action takes the electricity it receives form its power source to increase the torque, or spinning power of the tool. In vehicles the extra power produced by the engine is sent through the generator and then turned into electricity which is then stored in the battery. This way your vehicle automatically recharges its own battery.

Other Uses for Motors and Generators; Electrical motors can also help create more power form a limited power source. It uses the little amount of power received from a generator or low voltage outlet to fuel the generator inside itself and produce more power. Most electrical motors and power tools use this basic concept. This includes gas powered or electric powered lawn mowers, lawn equipment, and even some versions of wind up toys, to some extent.

Electric pumps either supported by generators, or by direct current can also be found from this website. They are excellent for pumping out water from flooded basements, lawns, yards, or other spaces after heavy rain fall or leaking pipes.

Accessories; In addition to generators, on this website you can also find listed merchants selling power cables, replacement parts, and other accessories to go with your generators. You can find electrical and test equipment, circuit breakers, components and supplies, assemblies, cables, connectors, wiring supplies, sockets, connectors, capacitors, processors, LED's, servo motors, crystals, operators, fuses, inductors, resistors, relays switches, testing supplies, transformers, and so many other supplies or your electrical needs. You will find every thing you need to power up your tools or gadgets for your home or generator power supply.

Be sure to bookmark this site so you can easily refer to it for all your needs. You never know when something will come up or you will find the best bargain, so be sure to visit often for updates.

Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The founder, Louis Brandt, was a watchmaker who live in the town and made his own brand of Omega watches by hand. The watches were put together piece by piece with the greatest precision.

The first ones that were made were of course, pocket watches. During this time no one knew about wrist watches. The watches were during this time highly valued and a sign of the wealthy gentleman. At this time however, the Omega watches were called Bienne watches.

When Louis Brandt died in 1879 his company was left to his sons who were watch makers themselves. The sons carried on their father’s business until they died in 1903. The next ones to take over the business were four men who the eldest was Paul Brandt. The oldest of the four who took over the company accepted an offer and merged with Tissot in 1930.

This merger turned out well and the SSIH group in Geneva, Switzerland was born as the parent company of this new watch company. The popularity of this group grew rather quickly and they ended up as part of a fifty company business. The time was not long before they were number three in the world when it came to making high-end watches and watch movements.

During this period of time some of the Omega watches that were produced were very sought after timepieces. The Vintage Omegas came from this era as this was around the time of World War II and many watches were made for the military which made them even more sought after. Although their name was changed several times people still know the Omega watch as a sign of quality.History of the Omega Watch
